0.4.0 More control over your model
Browser-only OCCT modeling, sketch constraints, exact dimensions and expanded face editing. Windows remains on 0.3.0.
Cadivari Browser 0.4.0 brings Open Cascade solid modeling to the free browser app. Sketches and feature history drive the solid, with expanded tools for shaping it. The standalone Windows app remains on 0.3.0; this release does not update its installer.
Make sketches easier to control
Constraints keep lines, circles and mirror axes related. Choose a relationship, then follow the selection prompt. Click a length, angle, radius or diameter label to edit its driving value directly. Conflicting edits leave the sketch unchanged.
Mirror now creates linked copies of lines, arcs, circles, rectangles and splines. Snap to reflected geometry, edit its original, or detach a copy for independent editing.
Build and edit exact solids
Push/Pull supports flat faces with curved boundaries and holes, with New body, Join and Subtract results. Cylindrical faces add offset, radius, straight-pull, thickness and supported end-extension controls.
Loft includes ordered sections and guide rails. Sweep follows connected paths. Shell handles more joined and stepped solids. These tools still reject shapes that cannot produce valid geometry; they do not promise that every radius, thickness or opening is possible.
Work on the right plane
Construction planes highlight face supports, offer a draggable offset arrow and support rotation about suitable edges. While sketching, dim, show through or slice surrounding solids to keep the model visible on angled planes.
Save in the new project format
The extension stays .cadiv. Browser 0.4 uses a new internal format and does not open older browser, Windows or migration-preview projects. Windows 0.3 cannot open new browser files. Keep older work for its original app version; renaming files does not convert them.
Local recovery and optional offline use remain available. Updates wait until existing app tabs close. Save a downloaded backup before switching releases. Read the project file guide for details.
Check machining after model edits
CAM uses the successfully rebuilt solid. Repair failed features or missing face selections, then regenerate affected paths. Verify stock, cutters, work zero and output before machining. A stale model is not substituted for a failed rebuild.
