Create an exact solid from a closed section and a connected sketch path.

Choose your version. The browser app is 0.4; Windows remains 0.3. Tools and project formats differ. See version differences.

Select path and profile

In Browser 0.4, draw a connected path and a closed profile in suitable sketches. Return to 3D, choose Sweep and click a path curve to select its whole chain. Then click the closed profile. Use the Path and Profile controls to replace either input, or choose a path from the list.

Control orientation

Choose Follow path or Keep orientation. Set Miter or Round corners, Rotation and Reverse path as needed. The profile starts perpendicular to the path. Inspect the preview and choose Create to make a new body; use Combine for later Join or Subtract operations.

Use valid paths

Lines, arcs, splines and closed paths are supported. Branching or disconnected curves cannot form one path, and a section that folds or intersects itself along the route may fail. Edit the saved profile or path to rebuild the sweep. Missing source references remain visible for repair. Sweep is not available in Windows 0.3.
