Two release versions
The free browser app uses OCCT solid modeling in version 0.4.0. The optional Windows installer remains at 0.3.0. Browser changes do not update an installed Windows application. Guides identify browser-specific tools and retain Windows instructions where the workflows differ.
New editing tools
Browser 0.4 adds sketch constraints, clickable dimensions, primitive mirroring and snapping, interactive construction planes, flat and cylindrical face editing and Sweep. Loft, Shell, booleans and edge finishing use the exact solid model. Each tool still has geometric limits; a failed operation preserves the committed model.
Project format
Both releases use the .cadiv extension, but Browser 0.4 uses format version 2. It does not open older saved projects or migration preview files. Windows 0.3 cannot open the new browser files. Keep old files for the version that created them; renaming does not convert them. Read about saving, recovery and offline use.
Machining and exports
CAM consumes the successfully rebuilt model. Repair failed features, reselect missing machining faces and regenerate affected paths after edits. Inspect stock, work zero, cutters and output before machining. STL and 3MF remain model exports; retain the editable project separately. Use the export checklist.
Try a Browser 0.4 example
Download a project, then use Open in Browser 0.4. These examples contain editable geometry and no machine-ready cutting settings.
- Joined solid for Shell — select the upper face, choose Shell and try a 2 mm wall.
- Guided loft — edit the feature to compare Smooth and Guided.
- Curved-face Push/Pull — select the cylindrical wall and compare the available behaviors.
- Curved sweep — inspect the source profile and path.
