Cadivari Licence Terms
The end-user licence agreement for the Cadivari perpetual CAD + CAM application.
Plain-language summary. One purchase gives one purchaser a perpetual right to use Cadivari on up to three computers under their control. It includes CAD, CAM, commercial use, and every Cadivari release published during the 12 months after purchase. This summary does not replace the terms below.
1 Who these terms are between
These Licence Terms are an agreement between you—the individual or organisation that purchases or lawfully receives the licence—and SCHNEIDER DESIGN, organisation number 919 772 298 MVA, Sundsdalen 277, 6819 Førde, Norway (“we”, “us” or “Cadivari”).
By purchasing, installing, activating or using Cadivari, you accept these terms. If you purchase for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept them for that organisation.
For purchases whose checkout displays “Sold through Link”, Stripe’s Managed Payments service acts as merchant of record. The Link purchase terms shown at checkout also apply. Link provides payment documents and transaction support; SCHNEIDER DESIGN provides the software licence, activation, eligible downloads and product support.
2 The licence you receive
We grant you a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to install and use the purchased Cadivari releases. The licence:
- includes the Cadivari CAD and CAM features supplied in each eligible release;
- permits personal, educational and commercial work;
- may be active on no more than three computers under the purchaser’s control at one time; and
- is for one purchaser and is not a three-user or floating team licence.
You own the project files and manufacturing output you create. We claim no ownership of your drawings, models, toolpaths, exports or finished work.
3 Perpetual use and included updates
Your licence does not expire. It includes feature, maintenance and compatibility releases published during the 12 months following the purchase date. The exact “updates through” date is shown in your receipt and download portal.
You may continue to use and reinstall every eligible release after that update period ends. Releases first published after the updates-through date are not included unless you later obtain additional update coverage. Ending update coverage does not disable an already activated eligible release.
4 Activation and online services
An internet connection is required to activate Cadivari, manage active computers, obtain installers and check for updates. Cadivari periodically validates an activation when a connection is available. Core drawing, modelling, CAM, saving and export are designed to work without a permanent internet connection after activation.
You are responsible for keeping the purchaser email and licence key secure. You may deactivate a computer through the owner download portal. You must not share, publish, sell access to or use another person’s licence key.
5 Restrictions
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you may not:
- copy or distribute Cadivari or its installers outside the permitted installations;
- rent, lease, sublicense, host or provide Cadivari as a service to third parties;
- circumvent activation, update eligibility or other technical protections;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code; or
- remove copyright, trade mark or attribution notices.
These restrictions do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any mandatory right to study interoperability.
6 Transfers
You may ask us to transfer the complete licence to another person or organisation. A transfer requires our written confirmation, deactivation and removal of all your copies, transfer of the entire licence rather than part of it, and the recipient’s acceptance of the current Licence Terms. We may refuse a transfer where the licence cannot lawfully be transferred or is associated with fraud, a chargeback or an unresolved payment.
7 Manufacturing and CNC safety
CAD geometry, simulation and generated G-code are aids to skilled work, not a guarantee that a machining operation is safe or suitable. You are responsible for checking geometry, units, stock, workholding, cutter data, feeds, speeds, machine limits, post-processor output and the complete toolpath before operating machinery.
Use appropriate guarding and personal protective equipment, review the generated code, simulate the job and perform a safe dry run where practical. Never leave running machinery unattended because Cadivari displayed a successful preview.
8 Updates and support
We may change, improve, remove or replace features in later releases. We do not promise that future releases will preserve every workflow or remain compatible with third-party hardware, operating systems, file formats or services indefinitely. We will use reasonable care when publishing eligible installers and update information.
Standard installation, activation and product support is described on the support page. Support does not include custom design work, CNC programming, machine certification or on-site services unless separately agreed in writing.
9 Ownership of Cadivari
Cadivari, its source code, interface, documentation, branding and supplied assets remain the intellectual property of SCHNEIDER DESIGN and its licensors. The licence grants permission to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of the software itself.
10 Conformity and warranty
We will provide Cadivari substantially as described at the time of purchase and exercise reasonable care in supplying the software and included updates. Software is complex and may contain defects. Except for promises made in these terms and rights that cannot be excluded by law, no additional warranty is given.
If Cadivari is defective or not as described, contact us with enough information to reproduce the issue. Mandatory consumer remedies—including correction, replacement, price reduction or termination/refund where applicable—are not limited by these terms or by our voluntary refund policy.
11 Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where applicable. Subject to that rule, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost production, machine or material damage, or loss caused by unsafe or unverified manufacturing instructions.
For claims that may lawfully be limited, our total liability relating to the licence will not exceed the amount you paid for Cadivari. Consumers retain all mandatory rights under the law that applies to them.
12 Ending the licence
You may stop using Cadivari at any time. We may suspend activation or terminate the licence if you materially breach these terms and do not correct a remediable breach after reasonable notice, or where a payment is reversed or fraudulent. On termination you must stop using and delete Cadivari. Terms concerning ownership, restrictions, liability and disputes continue where their nature requires it.
13 Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove mandatory protection provided by the law of your country of residence. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute directly. Consumers may also use the complaint channels available through their local consumer authority.
14 Changes to these terms
The version accepted at purchase governs that purchase. We may publish revised terms for future purchases or services, but we will not use a later version to remove the perpetual-use or eligible-release rights already granted to you.
