Build an associative solid through ordered closed sections, optional seams, tangency and guide rails.

Recommended test

Start with a predictable two-section body.

  1. Create two offset planes and draw one closed profile on each.
  2. Choose Loft and click the profiles in Start-to-End order.
  3. Inspect the colored section markers and correspondence lines.
  4. Create the body, edit one source profile and confirm the Loft rebuilds.
  5. Repeat with endpoint tangency or one valid side guide.

01 · ORDERED PROFILES

Choose two to twelve sections

Each Loft section must be one visible closed sketch face on a distinct ordered plane. Click the profiles from Start to End. Use reverse order when the complete stack is correct but its direction is backwards.

02 · CORRESPONDENCE

Read the seams before committing

Matching low-complexity polygons retain exact corner-to-corner stations. Mixed or curved profiles use even arc-length sampling from a common positive local-X seam. Adjust a section's normalized seam only when the visible correspondence lines show an unwanted twist.

Preview diagnostics

A valid-looking silhouette is not enough. Resolve crossing, collapse and opposing-correspondence diagnostics before creating the body.

03 · END CONDITIONS

Control how the surface leaves and enters

Start and End can independently use plane-normal tangency with a 10–100% influence. This makes the surface leave or enter perpendicular to the endpoint plane while the intermediate sections continue to control the body.

04 · GUIDE RAILS

Drive intermediate curvature

Turn on Use guide rails, choose the guide's sketch plane, then select up to eight existing open Line, Arc, Spline or connected mixed chains. Every enabled rail must touch and cross every ordered Loft section once. Valid guide intersections become authoritative and disable manual seam adjustments.
