Create a line, spline, mirror guide, measurement, circle, and reference image.
- Click each row eye. Confirm the object disappears from the canvas and the row remains available with a crossed-out eye.
- Try direct canvas selection and snapping near a hidden object. Confirm it no longer intercepts either action.
- Show the object again and confirm its exact geometry returns.
- Hide one linework object and export SVG or PDF. Confirm the hidden object is omitted.
- Delete an ordinary object with its row X, then Undo and Redo.
- For a specialist dependency example, confirm linked rosette-channel circles show a protected delete control; delete their parent Rosette row to remove the installation and both managed boundaries together.
01 · NON-DESTRUCTIVE
Use the eye to hide or show an object
Every Objects-list row has its own eye. Hiding is stored as an undoable document change, so it survives project save/open. Hidden objects are removed from the CAD canvas, direct selection, snapping, Fit Drawing, spruce material detection, and clean SVG/PDF linework exports. The geometry remains in the project and can be restored instantly.
02 · DIRECT ACTION
Use X to delete from the list
The X removes an ordinary object without first selecting it. Deleting source geometry also removes dependent measurements and incompatible CAM references; deleting a mirror guide safely unlinks its spline instead of invalidating the project. Parent-managed geometry has a protected X—for example, rosette channel boundaries are removed through their parent installation.
Visibility and deletion both enter normal CAD history. Use Undo immediately if either action was unintended.
03 · SEPARATE CONCERNS
Visibility does not disable machining
The eye controls CAD presentation. It does not silently disable or delete an existing CAM operation. Use the operation On/Off control when a stored machining operation should be excluded from complete-job animation and export.
