Use one closed freeform part outline. For the specialist guitar example, add a saved rosette linked to a soundhole.
- In CAD, click the image button beside Workspace settings at the bottom of the left rail.
- Confirm spruce fills only the closed profile and remains centred while zooming and panning.
- If using the guitar example, confirm the exact linked soundhole stays dark and open.
- If using the guitar example, confirm the lip between the soundhole and rosette retains spruce.
- Confirm linework, dimensions, handles, selection highlights, and any specialist artwork remain visible above the texture.
- Edit the closed spline. If a linked opening is present, confirm both the clipping boundary and opening update immediately.
- Switch to CAM or export SVG/PDF linework. Confirm no texture becomes machinable or enters clean linework output.
01 · PRESENTATION
Toggle the material from the CAD rail
The image button at the bottom of the CAD tool rail turns the preview on and off. Its green active state means the current spruce presentation is enabled. The control is intentionally separate from the document commands, so it adds no undo step and does not mark the project as changed.
02 · CLOSED PROFILE
Find the enclosing part automatically
Cadivari evaluates closed rectangles, splines, mirrored splines, and connected line/arc/spline loops. It chooses a suitable enclosing contour and recalculates the clip whenever the source geometry changes. When a specialist rosette installation is present, the detector avoids its linked channel circles and any larger surrounding work-area rectangle.
An open or self-intersecting outline is not a safe fill boundary. Close and validate the profile before enabling presentation.

Specialist overlays remain visible
In the current guitar-specific example, a linked soundhole circle is the only automatic opening. The spruce continues through the lip up to the inner rosette edge, while installed rosette artwork renders above the material. In every project, editable CAD linework, dimensions, handles, and selection state remain on top of the texture.
IMPLEMENTATION NOTE
Appearance never becomes geometry
The optimized spruce photograph is centred without changing its aspect ratio and scaled only enough to cover the detected profile at a realistic model size. The layer is non-interactive and exists only in the CAD renderer. Snapping, history, CAM regions, toolpaths, project geometry, SVG linework, and PDF linework remain unchanged.
