Begin with the project before the machine
Cadivari opens into a project workspace with two main contexts: CAD and CAM. Use CAD to draw and model the design. Move to CAM only when the geometry is ready to become a manufacturing operation.
The workspace
The default modelling unit is the millimetre. In Sketch mode, the left toolbar contains selection, movement, references and drawing tools. In 3D mode it switches to feature tools such as Push/Pull, Loft, Revolve, Shell, Chamfer and Fillet.
The Sketch and 3D buttons are two views of the same project—not separate applications.
A sensible first test
- Select the Top plane.
- Draw a closed rectangle in Sketch mode.
- Return to 3D and choose Push/Pull.
- Select the rectangular face and enter an exact height.
- Save the project before creating CAM operations.
Local saving
Save writes a .cadiv project file to a location you choose. Keep source projects alongside related drawings, references and exported machine files. The project is not silently moved into cloud storage.
