Full-size PDF Export

Export clean Cadivari linework as a full-size vector PDF or tiled A4/A3 printer sheets.

Recommended print test

  1. Create a rectangle with one side exactly 100.000 mm, plus any required part outline and circular opening geometry.
  2. Choose Export → PDF full-size drawing… for one custom page, or PDF tiled printer sheets… for A4/A3.
  3. For tiled output, choose the paper size and overlap, then confirm the automatic sheet grid before export.
  4. Print using Actual size or 100%. Disable Fit, Shrink, or Scale to page.
  5. Measure the tiled PDF's printed 100 mm calibration line before trusting a full-size template.

01 · EXPORT MODES

One drawing with two print workflows

PDF full-size drawing… keeps the original single custom page fitted around the drawing. PDF tiled printer sheets… creates a standard multi-page A4 or A3 document for ordinary printers. Both modes use the same linework and exact physical scale. The installed application uses a native Windows save dialog; localhost sends the PDF to browser downloads.

02 · TILED PRINTER SHEETS

Automatic page planning

Choose A4 or A3 and set an overlap from 0 to 30 mm. Cadivari compares portrait and landscape layouts, then uses the orientation requiring the fewest sheets. A tied result follows the drawing's dominant direction. Pages are ordered from the drawing's top-left across each row. Turn on Dashed cut guides when you want a light trim rectangle around every sheet; it stays off by default.

  • Every page is labelled with its page number, row, and column
  • Optional dashed cut guides mark the 10 mm page boundary
  • Trim crosses identify the printable drawing boundary
  • Registration crosses inside overlapping areas align neighboring sheets
  • A 100 mm calibration line is repeated on every page
  • A 5 mm drawing safety margin keeps source linework clear of tile boundaries

03 · TRUE PHYSICAL SIZE

The page is measured in millimetres

Cadivari converts its canonical millimetre geometry to PDF points using exactly 72 points per inch and 25.4 millimetres per inch. The single-page mode follows the exact drawing bounds with a 10 mm margin. Tiled output clips that same unscaled geometry into fixed physical A4 or A3 pages with 10 mm sheet margins.

Print at 100% / Actual size

A PDF viewer or printer driver can still rescale the page. Always disable automatic fitting and measure the 100 mm line. Printer hardware may be unable to print the complete 10 mm margin; that does not change the vector scale.

04 · CLEAN VECTOR OUTPUT

Linework stays resolution-independent

  • Lines and rectangles use native PDF vector path commands
  • Circles and circular arcs use high-accuracy cubic vector segments
  • Clamped Cadivari splines retain their continuous Bézier spans
  • Visible reflected spline geometry is included
  • Reference images, mirror guides, grids, rulers, dimensions, handles, selection state, and CAM overlays are excluded
  • Output uses a neutral black 0.25 mm stroke with no fill

CURRENT SCOPE

Version 2 boundaries

  • Single-page PDF supports one custom page up to 5,000 × 5,000 mm
  • Tiled output currently supports A4 and A3, up to 200 pages, with automatic orientation and 0–30 mm overlap
  • A2/A1/A0, manual orientation, selected-only export, title blocks, and configurable sheet margins remain future additions
  • The PDF is drawing linework, not a CAM setup sheet or G-code report
  • PDF import is not supported
