Rosette and fretboard tools
Design instrument parts and use their geometry in Cadivari drawings and CNC operations.
The rosette and fretboard designers are included in the free browser app and the Windows app. They provide controls for instrument dimensions and generate geometry for the CAD/CAM workspace.
Rosette bands and mosaics
Set mosaic cell dimensions, arrange veneer bands and preview repeated tiles around the ring. Use the band dimensions to prepare channel profiles. See the rosette designer guide for controls and supported workflows.
Fretboard dimensions and surfaces
Set scale length, fret positions, board dimensions and surface shape. The designer supports constant and compound radius surfaces, longitudinal slope and other instrument-specific settings. Use the result to prepare outlines, surfacing and fret-slot toolpaths.
Prepare the machining setup
Choose the stock, work zero and cutters in CAM. Check tool diameters, depths, operation order and workholding before exporting G-code for the machine controller. The fretboard designer guide describes the current options and limits.
